Outfit Post: Daylight

Boyfriend jeans (these Shutterbug ones in particular) have probably been on my wishlist for about a year now. I kept getting nervous about buying them in the belief that they would look awful on me. I guess sometimes you just gotta grab the bull by the horns and go mad. So I bought them and initially when I put them on, I freaked out because I thought they didn’t suit me, so I decided to pull them down a bit onto my hips or just above, as opposed to being on my waist. They suited me much better there. I think you can wear them one of two ways dependent on your figure. If you have a lovely tiny waist they would be perfect on your waist, but I unfortunately just seem to go straight down, so down they went and they worked in the end 🙂 (Having a giggle to myself here over that rant).

The shirt is just an ideal shirt really. Well for me anyway. The butterfly pattern and the silk texture wowza. I spotted it in my mothers wardrobe a while ago, and you can probably imagine how pleased I was with her purchase 🙂

I don’t want to go on much more and bore you all to death but the shoes are the type of shoes that you see and know you are going to buy no matter what your resources are. They are perfect for the summer, so nice and so classy.

I hope you enjoy the pics!

Outfit Post: Walk off the Earth

The other day I tweeted a jumper very similar to the one below. I had actually seen this one in the shop but couldn’t find the exact match on the website. I do love both but I prefer this one. I love the structured but uneven look to it. And that design on the front. I wish I had really good English to describe it but I guess you can just see it for yourself. Oh and the sleeves, oh god I nearly forgot to mention the sleeves. They are so soft and mosaic-esque. I think the whole sweatshirt is made out of four different fabrics.

The jeans for me, were a pair of those jeans that when you see, you know you are going to buy. Such good value in h&m for €19.95. I love patterned jeans and always have. I actually really really like denim patterned jeans, well blue anyway.

I am quite enjoying this seasons spring/summer trend. I was slightly (more than slightly) over-whelmed when I went shopping the other day. I think this time of year is the best time for clothes. Is that a bit of an over-generalisation? Oh well..

You will see my dog Phoebe in some of the pictures. She matched my outfit 🙂

And once again that is me for now. All comments and feedback are so appreciated!

Outfit Post: Back to the future

I really like (because I overuse the word love) futuristic clothes.

On a side note isn’t there something so mysterious about “back to the future”. Is that a really weird thing to say? I want to know more about back to the future.

I keep seeing these class futuristic items and getting excited about what you can do with them. There is a new dress on Nasty Gal. Its structured, 2 dimensional, with bright pastel colours and zips. I LOVEEEEE IT! In fact I love their WHOLE Spring Collection. I will post a picture below. I’m so glad futuristic is happening right now. Ugh I sound like such a DIVA!

I got the jumper from choies.com. I really like that website. I’d like to be able to describe the material. All I can say is its inspiringly furutistic

The jumper was perfect with my Levi shorts. I’m not fully sure what size the jumper is supposed to be on, because it only came in one size, and its a belly top on tall me, oh well!

Outfit Post: On My Bubble Dreams

Yeah yeah I know I’ve said it enough but I DO LOVE VELVET and there was no turning back from the purchasing point when I saw these SEQUINED GOLD CROSSES on one of my favourite colours on MY FAVOURITE FABRIC. I swoon I swoon I swoooooooon…

I actually bought the skirt ages ago and couldn’t decide what top I wanted to wear with it. Then I decided a jersey top like the one below, but couldn’t find a nice one until I saw this eagle top in River Island the other day. The top is pretty big so its very versatile. I love that I can dress it up with this skirt and gold necklace or dress it down with a pair of washed out jeans. Oooh yes. I could actually sit here all day and talk about how versatile fashion is. I live by one rule though: You can wear anything, just make it work. Be brave my friends. Not that this outfit is particularly brave but you know what I mean.

I was going to say enjoy the pictures but I just need to talk about the shoes for a minute. I love them. I don’t think any of these pictures do them  justice though. I got them for Christmas. They go with everything pretty much. I’m loving the whole cut out strappy thing going on in shoes at the moment. Its class.

I could discuss why I haven’t been able to blog in so long but basically college is C.R.A.Z.Y. But I’m nearly there-ish.

Feedback/comments are so very appreciated.

Until  next time mes amies…

Outfit Post: Imagine…

One of my favourite people ever is John Lennon, and the song imagine makes me swoon and shiver simultaneously. My inner hippy alter ego has always fancied his sun-glasses, so when I saw these glasses online I bought them with no added thought. I  added similar ones to my wish-list about a year ago, MUCH more expensive but I wayy prefer these ones.  The jumper – well I die. I actually saw it online, HAPPENED to be in the shop the next day, and lived on pasta for the rest of the week! I’ve decided its worth living on pasta if it allows you buy the things you want, as the marginal utility (LOLing here) is so much greater!

When you look at the pictures you might wonder about the odd cons – When I was in America two summers ago my friend and I were constantly swapping our cons, then one day we swapped one and wore one of each, it stayed like that for the rest of the summer. When we were leaving the emotional attachment of spending most of the best summer of our lives in them was way to high to swap back so they stayed odd forever 😀 I love them so much and I get a lot of questions from people about it. No you can’t buy them like that but just SWAP WITH A FRIEND! Come on, lets make the world a more interesting place 🙂

I hope you like the pictures. Some of the greenish/blueish colours in that jumper are my favourite colours in the world, agh such a perfect combination!

So that is me for now, I loveee doing this so much, so any feedback is very welcome 🙂

Until next time mes amies…

Outfit Post: Blue Velvet

So I know I haven’t done one of these in a while, and I can tell you this is all I have been wanting to do but unfortunately I am drowning in masters work. However, last weekend I came up for some air and got my sister to take a few snaps.

Its just an outfit I wore out the previous Thursday. I vouched to myself that I will have a new outfit for every night I go out this year. It shouldn’t be too hard as a night on the tiles for me is a rare occasion these days, however when it happens I get very excited (TOO excited) but I like to be wearing something new. I only decided on the morning that I would allow myself the night off so I jumped on the bus into town (I think I must have known in my head I was getting the dress) marched straight into American Apparel, decided what colour I wanted, purchased it, and came home to get a decent days work in before the night ahead. It wasn’t a difficult decision for me as velvet makes me swoon and it had been in the back of my mind since I saw it in there a couple of weeks previous.

I’m not sure if I have previously revealed my obsession with collars. Well I love them, and I loved matching this collar with this dress.

Velvet Dress: American Apparel

Bowler Hat: Folkster

Collar: Romwe.com

Shoes: Office

We had to take these photos really fast so they are not great quality but you get to see the outfit, which is the main thing I guess. I will definitely not be leaving it this long again to do another post (hopefully). I hope you enjoyed though.

Until next time..

Outfit Post: Nightcall

I don’t know what it is but there is just something I love about turtle necks. I think they make an outfit look classy, even if it is a crop-top! I loved the colour of this top and really thought it went well with the colour of the shorts. The shorts are supposed to be black but I feel like they are more of a rusty navy. One of the best things for me is being able to transform night wear to day wear to night wear. The shorts are perfect for college. I’m sure they will be in another outfit post soon. I had to add the bowler hat simply because they make any outfit look cool, but I loved it with this particular outfit. The handbag is vintage (I robbed it from my mother) – love finding those gems. I actually forgot to wear the handbag for the start of the photo-shoot but that’s just a typical me thing to do.

Crop Top: Topshop

Studded Shorts: Topshop

Shoes: Office

Bowler Hat: Folkster

Necklace: Shutterbug

Handbag: Vintage

I really hope you liked the pictures/outfit, I really love doing outfit posts and can’t wait to do more. I would also appreciate any feedback/comments you might have.

Until next time mes amis..
